Go to CVS or Publix if you have one near, they have a section for gift cards, that you pash cash for. I am sure most other grocery or drug stores will do this as well, but call first to make sure before you make a long trip.

It sounds like you want one of the basic ones, like visa vanilla (its what they call it). Make sure you check the card itself, it will require a certain amount to "purchase" and turn on the card, usually a couple of dollars, some are more than others.
